The 9 rooms at Can Liret, have personality and  the tradition of  the artisan houses  from Palafrugell. Stone walls,  voltes empordaneses, wood beams, tova soils,… tradition and comfort matching with a modern design. A house with more than 300 years of history, adjusted to the needs  of a XXI century hotel.  Each one of the 9 rooms at  Can Liret, has been named with cultural refernces, places or dishes from our town.

We wish that your stay with us motívates you to discover an amazing  landscape, as well, to live all kind of diverse experiences . A territory and  the local peoples that we love! Our little country.

Josep Pla (Palafrugell, 1897-1981) writes this book in the form of a diary, with a highly autobiographical character. It is considered the author’s masterpiece. The gray notebook has been translated into different languages, in addition to having an online version and a theatrical adaptation. A book that transports us to the beginning of the 20th century, when Can Liret was a small cork factory.

If there is a corner of the country that, for us, is unique, it is El Golfet. A walk from the Sant Roc hotel (Calella de Palafrugell) of approximately 20 minutes along the circular path until you discover this fantastic cove. This is an essential appointment for a visit to Palafrugell.

The section of Costa Brava between Begur and Palamós in general and Aigua Xelida specifically, was considered, in a program with maximum audience on Catalan public television, the favorite landscape of the Catalans. A very small cove in the middle of rocks and pine trees, you can get there by taking a walk from Tamariu, another unavoidable appointment if you want to know a unique corner.

Josep Pla used to call Empordanet the vicinity of his native Palafrugell, or the area between Las Gavarres and Montgrí, A small country with a natural, heritage, cultural and landscape offering that will never end. The Empordanet is Can Liret.

Mmmmmmm!!!!!, a gastronomic pleasure, a very spiny white meat fish with pink, red colors…, preferably grilled, just the way we like it, and we recommend it to all our guests, you can enjoy it in one of the friendly restaurants or going shopping at the Palafrugell market and cooking your own meals at the hotel.

The Empordà is a land of artists, and the soundtrack of our country could be this fantastic habanera (G. Cruz/C. Pérez), lyrics and music that also transport us to the experience of getting to know our small country.

From this room you can enjoy the morning awakening in front of the bell tower, with the iconic water tower watching over you. The Water Tower, a building that symbolizes a very important period in the history of Palafrugell and the Empordà, the civilization of the cork culture.
